Event staff use the dashboard or mobile device to scan attendee QR codes at entry points.
Attendees scan a venue QR code at the entrance, enter their email, and confirm attendance.
Track attendance at individual sessions/talks within your event.
Go to Dashboard → your event → Check-In. Above the scanner there is one control row that decides where a scan counts and which way it goes. It applies to the camera, a USB badge scanner and manual check-in together, so you set it once per door.
One button, and the badge decides: someone outside is scanned in, someone already inside is scanned out. This is what a single door wants.
Every scan is an entry. Use it on an entrance door staffed separately from the exit.
Every scan is an exit. Use it on the exit door.
Beside the mode there is a Session dropdown. Leave it on Whole event for the front door. Pick a session to record attendance for that room, which is what gives you per-session numbers and time in the room.
An attendee can leave a session and come back. Each visit is recorded separately and the durations add up, so someone who stepped out for ten minutes is not counted as having left for good.
Checked in — A visit opened. The attendance clock is running.
Checked out — The open visit closed. Their time in the room is now recorded.
Already inside — The badge was scanned in twice. Nothing changed and no second visit was created — this is the ordinary double-tap, not an error.
Already checked out — The badge was scanned again within a minute of leaving. Nothing changed. Without this, a double-tap would put someone back inside the room they had just left.
Checked out — no matching check-in — Someone was scanned out who had never been scanned in. The visit is recorded and flagged as incomplete. It is deliberately not guessed at: inventing a check-in would create attendance nobody recorded.
The attendee's name appears with the result, because the person is standing in front of you and a bare "Checked out" gives you no way to notice you scanned the wrong badge.
When an attendee completes registration, they automatically receive a confirmation email containing:
Go to Dashboard > Events > Your Event > Attendees to see all registered attendees with their check-in status.
Use the search bar to find attendees by name, email, or phone. Filter by 'Checked In' or 'Not Checked In' status.
The stats cards at the top show total attendees, checked-in count, pending check-ins, and overall check-in rate.
Click 'Check-In' on the attendees page header to go to the QR scanning page. You can also search by name or email for manual check-in.
WebMobi uses a unified QR code format. All QR codes are automatically generated and backward-compatible.
